The Labradar Chronograph continually measures velocities of your rifle, pistol, shotgun (slugs) such as brown bear 7.62×39, arrows or pellets up to 100 yards depending upon the size of the bullet. Smaller bullets do not track as far as large bullets. Multiple distances for velocity display are user definable on the unit. LabRadar measures velocities up to 3,900 FPS. with 0.1% accuracy using six AA batteries. Labradar is not dependent on any light source and can be used indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions. It is positioned to the side of the weapon, not downrange where other systems are prone to damage. Each shot series provides Hi, Lo, Average, ES, SD. Individual shots display velocities at muzzle and up to five additional distances along with Kinetic Energy at each distance. The data is downloadable via USB or 16GB or more SD card. Works extremely well right out of the box. Initially had a bit of a problem with the iPhone App. Went to YouTube for research and finally figured it out through trial at the gun range. Simply swipe the screen from left to right to gain access to the settings of the App. I especially liked the ability to arm the chrono from the iPhone App. The App retains the shot data for easy retrieval at home. The arming ability prevented disturbing the Labradar setup. I had some rechargeable AA batteries that are high capacity. The rechargeable AA’s are rated at 2000 ma and they have lasted through a three hour session at the range. So far I am extremely pleased with the Labradar and I would recommend it to anyone with a need or desire. This piece of equipment is expensive but well worth the price. I was told that You get what you pay for and this is true for the Labradar.

This is a phenomenal tool at a very reasonable cost. With the calibers I shoot, its roughly 100 meter range is more than adequate. Compared to a conventional chronograph which measures velocity at only one location, the LabRadar does continuous measurements from the time of bullet capture until; either maximum range or the bullet hits the ground (whichever is first).

I buy a lot of things that aren’t needed for shooting/hunting. This is not one of them. The Labradar is far superior to any other chronographs that I’ve used. I was a little hesitant because I read other reviews that this was difficult to use. I honestly think that has to be competitors writing a review like that. This was extremely simple to get started with, maybe 5 minutes to set up the first time because I was unsure. Now it takes less than a minute and I’m ready to shoot. It also provides (in my opinion) much more accurate and useful information. I’ve used in everything from bright sunny days to days where it was actually raining. Never had a shot not register, and it tracks down range very well, even thought the V style aiming system is pretty generic. I haven’t used AA batteries so I don’t know how it operates with those. However, using a cheap battery pack has allowed me multiple trips to the range without having to recharge it. This is a purchase you won’t regret and well worth the extra money over the cheaper options

This is a very helpful product. Gives you velocity at multiple ranges not just at the muzzle. Reliable in all weather conditions ( but wind ) and is not affected by different levels of light. Unit must be still to read and wind may cause movement if mounted on a tri-pod. All in all a very reliable unit. Very easy to operate.

Labradar is a great product for the center-fire reloader. RTFM before using or you might experience some frustration in tracking targets. Once you have a basic understanding of its operation and limitations you should have no issues. I’m happy with my purchase. I would be even happier if the software would be improved to allow shot-shell tracking.

This product works as advertised… The fit and finish is Great……. The fact that it works in almost every weather condition and lighting situation is awesome this product has the next level…. If you are serious about Reloading and long range shooting this product is for you…. The only criticism I have as that the battery Storage compartment hops off pretty easily… When a muzzle brake is being use on a Rifle… Also the menu is a little hard to navigate in the beginning… Be sure to watch tutorial when you buy this product….

Buy this radar first instead of the other unreliable, inconsistent screen chronographs. You’ll have consistent data, I get velocity from the LabRadar and go straight to hitting steel at 1000 yards.

I purchased this because I was using 2 different brand chronos and was getting wildly inconsistent readings. This thing is spot on every time regardless of conditions that I can tell. Way more accurate and consistent than a chronograph. Easy and simple to use. Worth every penny for the competitive shooter.

This unit is heads above my beta chrony. I also have a Magneto Speed. (Which is a great unit, except it changes barrel vibration when doing load developement work). Setup was very simple, it reads the shots very quickly and it is nice to see velocity at distances out to 100 yds. (larger caliber bullets). It is a little tempermental on windy days. It takes a little experimenting to get it to read when shooting a suppressed gun. Get an external battery pack and you can use for hours (mine has a 24000mAH capacity). I would recommend to friends

Worth a lot more than what the cost is. I very rarely took a chronograph w/ sky screens to the range because of setup time and the fact that they miss shots. And it’s just a matter of time until its hit by a bullet. The Labrador goes to the range w/ me every time because it’s quick and easy to setup. Absolutely no chance of shooting it since it’s out of harms way.

Setup and use are so much simpler and quicker than my conventional chronograph. Readings are reliable and easy to download with the SD card or via Bluetooth to my iPhone.

A superior piece of equipment, worked perfectly from the first time out to the range. It took a bit of experimenting to use the Labradar with my iPhone, but once I understood how to use the App, all was well. The Bluetooth iPhone App worked very well, I especially liked the feature that arms the Labradar from my iPhone.

I have used this chronograph for almost a year now, and I am selling my Chrony Beta w/printer, AND my Oehler 43 ballistic laboratory. No muss, no fuss setting up sky screens any more. I have the LabRadar tilting base, but at my range, I was able to drill a hole in the wood, and standing the unit up on a 1 1/2″ diameter piece of aluminum pipe, I have it at the right height and 6″ away from the muzzles on all my rifles. All one has to do is change the caliber and weight of the bullet, and start firing. I use an iPad so I don’t have to reach forward to the unit, I just comfortably tap on the tablet to arm/disarm and go through my shot strings. Can’t get much easier to operate.

I was worried when I saw some dumb reviews giving low stars. Now I realize they had to be hacks because this thing is great! Easy to set up and works, just works! I put in rechargeable batteries and brought out an external battery just in case. I had it on for 4 hours using the rechargeable AA’s and it still showed full battery status. My friends and family love this. So much easier than the old wire cage setups I used to have. I sold all my old ones, this is a keeper!

I’m a USPSA Competitor. And I bought the Labradar to confirm PF on my 9mm PCC and Open guns. I saw a couple reviews where people said it “didn’t work with comped pistols” and that “it wasn’t accurate enough” Well I’m happy to say the trolls were wrong. And I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. It’s easy to setup and align, easy to navigate. And it displays the velocity of the last shot much faster than I was expecting, based on some of the YouTube videos I saw. It also works great in an indoor range. Had no issues at all picking up my shots, and ignoring everyone else’s. I recommend a good hard side foam case, like the HF Apache 4800, it was a perfect fit. Same price as the case from Labradar. But I can put the tripod and two spare batteries in it with nothing getting scratched.
